Food and Toiletries
for the Homeless
The parish provides food and toiletries for the homeless in the county several times a year through grants from Thrivent Financial.

Backpacks of Love
Backpacks of Love is a community project to provide initial supplies for children entering foster care. The backpacks contain essential necessities for gender and age specific children. These backpacks include such items as a toothbrush, soap, shampoos, changes of clothing and age appropriate books and toys.
After hearing about the project, Trinity Parish set a goal to donate 12 backpacks. The members of the parish got so excited about the effort and were so generous, they ended up doubling the amount to 24!
The backpacks were delivered to La Plata Police Chief Carl Schinner. The department was very pleased to receive them.

Safe Nights
Trinity Parish participates in the Safe Nights program of Charles County. Safe Nights offers support for the homeless by providing food and shelter during the winter months. Trinity Parish has donated dinners and lunches for the past three years.

Ministry Of the Month (MOM) Projects
Trinity Parish supports several MOM projects yearly to include school supplies for area schools, Thanksgiving meals for elderly and shut-ins, Christmas gifts and dinner for community families in need. The parishioners are always very generous and thoughtful in their giving.

Community Caroling
Every December members of the parish "pack the bus" and go caroling through the community to our shut-in neighbors and the Veteran's Home to help bring holiday cheer.
